VITO, Belgium (www.vito.be) core partner, will test novel I-X technologies and NTUA, Greece (ntua.gr), core partner will screen the efficiency of commercially available resins to further optimize the crucial I-X step.
VITO is a leading European independent research and consultancy centre in the areas of cleantech and sustainable development, elaborating solutions for the societal challenges of tomorrow: climate change, food security, a sustainable energy supply, the ageing population and scarcity of resources.
VITO develops materials and technologies for separation, recovery and conversion with a specific focus on loop closure, recovery of valuable materials and upcycling of mineral residues. At the Coating and Shaping Technologies (CAST) team novel structured I-X materials are being developed and implemented fore the recovery of metals. The research team involved in this project has a proven track record both in national and European projects (H2020 Platirus, H2020 Chromic, H2020 CMPM2030, H2020 Tarantula, …).
